THE DIASPORA, EVERYDAY explores the somewhat ordinary moments that connect those in the diaspora to their homelands. Through a series of eight paintings - with subjects spanning several nationalities across Aberdeen - artist, Joshua Ekekwe sheds light on the subtle yet profound connections that exist amidst the hustle and bustle of everyday life. From food to fashion, The exhibition invites viewers to reflect on their own and others' diasporic experiences and the threads that connect them back to their homelands.
