“Coming to Aberdeen from Poland, I was quite relieved to find some home comforts readily available such as ‘pasztet’, a meat spread and ‘pierogi’ polish dumplings. However, coming to Aberdeen was still a culture shock. Back home, nothing really comes in packaging with bread being the big difference, bread in Poland has so many different tastes and textures compared to here and I miss all the open-air markets full of fresh fruit and veg.”
