Ijó, Egwu or Rawa, whatever you call it; dance plays an important role in the lives of Nigerians and fellow Africans across the diaspora. Whether at home, as part of social gatherings or concerts, dance can be seen as a marker of one's personal identity and links to one’s culture and traditions, and always finds expression even miles away from the motherland.
